The Student Counselling Centre’s role is to support students throughout their university studies.
It achieves this goal through a range of services and programmes.
One example is Student Counselling, which is available to students free of charge and provides six occasions for 50-minute psychological counselling sessions per semester.
The second is the University Career Socialisation Course, which aims to provide comprehensive support to BSc students during their first semester. The University Career Socialisation Course consists of two modules:
- The first module is a series of training sessions during which students work with external trainers. The training covers topics such as study techniques, time management and stress management. Through these sessions, students develop skills and acquire knowledge that can help them cope more effectively with the challenges of the semester.
- The second element of the course is a weekly group session, during which students meet with a faculty mentor (a university lecturer). These group sessions provide an opportunity for students to consult with their mentor, discuss their current challenges, raise questions, and share their knowledge and experiences with other students, thereby supporting the group’s university experience.
